The Barn
A perfect setting for the smaller wedding, winter or summer your wedding can be special in our barn. It can also be used as the setting for the after party if you are having a marquee wedding down by our lily ponds.
Started life as a tractor shed, it is surrounded on all sides by towering gums and tree ferns so provides a unique setting for your function. The barn is fully renovated with wide opening doors at the front that can have a marquee structure (24 Sq m) attached to give more room if required. We can leave a few sofas and tables in for your guests to use or it can be an empty space waiting for you to decorate it to your requirements. Plenty of rafters to hang that disco mirror ball you have always wanted!
We can seat 75 to a sit down meal in the barn with enough room for a dance floor afterwards. This of course can be expanded if using the marquee attachment.
For winter weddings there is a very large wood burning stove to make the barn very welcoming for your guests.
For the service we have many sites on the property or some of our brides choose to be married elsewhere such as the beach and then return to the retreat for the festivities.
Of course there is no charge for the use of the barn and no set finishing time as you and your guests are staying at the retreat. We also can arrange a mini bus service for any guests staying at nearby cottages.
